A Portland family business, not a national chain

Had my cedar shake roof cleaned earlier this week. Had them return to seal and treat the roof. Once again the crew arrived on time (rare these days), got right to work and did a superb job. And just like last time, they cleaned up the work area and even used window-clean tools to clean the skylight. So they left leaving the place in better condition than when they arrived. It is SOOO refreshing to have a contractor (and the works) do what they said when they said and for the price quoted. These guys are GREAT!

Monte showed up for an estimate right after we called. He was quick, polite and didn’t try to sell us a bunch of stuff we didn’t need, like the other people we called did. His price was very reasonable.

His two-man crew showed up on time and did an excellent job. They were polite, quick and did exactly what they said they would do. We will be using them again for our annual maintenance. I would highly recommend using USA Gutter for your roofs and gutters.

Great job, excellent service — I recommend them without reservation. My wife and I hired Monte and crew for roof cleaning. We only contacted licensed, bonded and insured contractors. The bid was competitive, detailed, and extensive. They covered all aspects of the roof cleaning process.

They arrived promptly on the date scheduled and got to work immediately. My wife and I liked James and Steven from the start. They were professional, polite, and competent. After the job was finished we would rate them exceptional. They reviewed the cleaning process, moved furniture, covered our landscaping, set up the safety equipment, and got going. I was impressed with their ability and attention to detail.

When attaching safety equipment they discovered serious damage to our ridgeline (caused by previous roof cleaners). Steven, an experienced roofer, told me what options were available and what USA could do. They had it repaired promptly. This along with the cleaning improved the quality of our roof and extended its life.

James took extreme care around my skylight. The previous roof cleaners had gotten water and debris into the house that required extensive cleaning and repainting. USA took the time to detail the skylight before they left the roof. Sunlight streams through now.

Roof cleaning is a mess — moss and debris were everywhere. Steven and James cleaned up EVERYTHING. They cleaned out the gutters, flushed the down spouts, power-washed and rinsed the sides of the house, sidewalk, deck, patio, driveway and then bagged it up. Throughout the day they let us know what to expect, what they were doing, and how it would look at the end.

We have already recommended USA to friends and neighbors.

Used the website request for estimate. The Owner, Monte, called and came out the next day. Made a reasonable estimate and we shook hands on the deal. His two man crew called before arriving to make sure we were up and ready for them. They arrived on time as told.

They went right to work organizing their gear after looking at what needed to be done on the roof — major amount of moss on the South roof and even more on the North-facing back roof. They spread a tarp over the lawn to keep the washed-off moss from getting into the grass. After a very good job of cleaning the roofs and the gutters, they did a good job of cleaning up the surrounding areas where the moss had landed. Especially appreciated the removal of some bee and hornet nests found in the gutters.

Very personable young men did a good job and I would be happy to have them back to do another job if needed.
